Summer School a success at Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham
Last week Grantham’s Priory Ruskin Academy was pleased to welcome a group of students who will be joining the school in September.
They enjoyed a whole weeks worth of activities designed to give them a taste of life at the ‘big school’.
The Summer School schedule was organised with an emphasis on fun whilst giving students a flavour of a typical day at Ruskin. Activities included sports such as cricket, basketball and tennis, followed by some classroom work involving Maths, English and Graphic Design.
The students were also introduced to the reading room where they were able to choose a library book to take home. A full day visit to Belton House was included where the students enjoyed a guided tour and an exciting time exploring and photographing the grounds.
However perhaps the highlight of the week was a performance on Friday afternoon for parents and carers, for which students wore the T-shirts that they had designed themselves.
